Recruitment Overview
- SSC CHSL 2026 recruits Data Entry Operator (DEO) for Central Government offices through an open competitive examination.

- 18–27 years as on 1 August 2026; born not before 2 August 1999 and not after 1 August 2008.
- Upper-age relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10 years (plus category relaxation where applicable), eligible Ex-Servicemen and other notified categories as detailed in the official notice.

- Correction window: 14–16 October 2026, up to 11:00 PM.

Application Fee
- Application fee: ₹100, payable online.
- Women, SC, ST, PwBD and eligible Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempt.
- Correction charge: ₹200 for the first correction and ₹500 for the second correction.
Selection Process
- Tier-I computer-based examination.
- Tier-II computer-based examination, including the qualifying Skill Test/Typing Test applicable to the post.
- Document verification by the allotted department; final merit is based on Tier-II performance and post preference, subject to qualifying requirements.
How to Apply
- Open SSC’s official Apply page and select Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2026.
- Complete or verify One-Time Registration (OTR), then sign in.
- Choose CHSL 2026, fill personal/category/qualification details and post preferences.
- Capture/upload the required photograph and signature, upload supporting documents if asked, and pay ₹100 unless exempt.
- Use Preview, correct errors, submit before 7 October 2026 at 11:00 PM, and retain the submitted form.
Check Before Submission
- Match name, date of birth and category with the supporting certificates.
- Upload the live photograph/signature and certificates in the format and size stated by SSC.
- Preview every field, confirm fee-payment status where applicable, submit, and save the final application PDF/printout.
