NIT Agartala Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026 – 51 Posts
Advertisement and application period
Advertisement F.NITA.2(519-Estt)/2019/Vol-III/4473, dated 10 September 2026, covers 51 regular posts in eight categories. Applications and payment are online from 20 September at 10:00 to 20 October 2026 at 17:00. Eligibility is assessed on 20 October. The institute will announce the CBT date, centres and admit-card arrangements separately.
Qualification rules
Use the post code and relevant discipline rather than only the broad degree label. Where a certificate does not state First Class, the institute specifies 6.5 CGPA on a ten-point scale or 60% aggregate. A university conversion formula is not accepted for that rule; where both percentage and CGPA appear, CGPA is used. Pharmacists must hold the required statutory registration. Library automation/PGDCA and other desirable qualifications are preferences, subject to the full notice.
Selection and exam preparation
Selection uses a 100-mark, 60-minute computer-based objective test and qualifying skill assessments wherever prescribed. Interviews are not conducted for these Group B/C posts. General English, current affairs/GK, mental ability and numerical ability form the general component; the discipline component varies by post code. Lab Attendant has a general paper including computer knowledge. Annexure B contains the detailed syllabi and Annexure C the tentative technical department allocation. Document checks, medical fitness and police verification follow.
How to submit
Use the Recruitment section on the institute website and the online link for this advertisement. Submit one application per post code; different codes require separate forms and fees. Upload a recent colour photograph and the self-attested supporting documents in a single PDF within the stated 10 MB limit. Pay through the application payment link, submit and preserve the form and receipt. Downloaded forms sent offline are not accepted.
Certificates, age and fees
Upload category and relaxation proof at the application stage and bring originals plus one self-attested set to verification. Serving employees need an NOC. The advertisement specifies certificate-date requirements for OBC-NCL and EWS; check them in the notice. Applicable departmental and existing institute staff concessions require evidence. UR/OBC-NCL/EWS pay ₹1,000; SC/ST pay ₹750; qualifying PwD-category applicants are exempt. Fees are non-refundable. No wrong-answer penalty is specified in the available notice; follow later examination instructions.
