Qualification and experience
SSLC or equivalent, valid motor boat driving licence, 3 years as Boat Driver, knowledge of boat engines and minor repairs, and swimming ability.
Age limit
25–40 years; usual notified relaxations, overall limit 50 where applicable.

Selection process
PSC tests as notified, practical driving / engine assessment, and qualifying swimming: 50 metres within 2 minutes plus floating for 2 minutes.
