Eligibility examination for JRF, Assistant Professor and PhD categories. Includes Chemical, Earth, Life Sciences and Bio-Technology, Mathematical and Physical Sciences.
Dates and fees
- Regular application/payment: 7 October-5 November 2026, 11:50 PM.
- Late window: 6-9 November, 11:50 PM; additional ₹500.
- Corrections: 10-12 November, 11:50 PM.
- General ₹1150; EWS/OBC-NCL ₹600; SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/Third Gender ₹325, plus gateway charges.
Eligibility
Masters: 55% General/EWS, 50% eligible reserved categories. Final-year applicants are provisional. Four-year degree: 75%, with notified 5% relaxation, for JRF/PhD only. JRF age maximum 30 on 1 December, with permitted relaxations; no upper age for Assistant Professor/PhD.
Exam and application
CBT on 19, 22 and 27 December 2026; three hours. Subject-specific attempt limits and negative marking apply. Life Sciences/Biotechnology includes DBT fellowship eligibility. Register, choose the eligible subject, upload documents, pay and save confirmation.
