Indian Army TGC 145 Recruitment 2026 – 30 Engineer Posts, July 2027 Course

Eligibility, application steps and essential conditions

1. TGC 145 leads to Permanent Commission after the July 2027 course at IMA Dehradun. The 30 places comprise Civil 8, Computer Science 6, Electrical 2, Electronics 6, Mechanical 6 and miscellaneous streams 2. Training lasts 12 months; candidates must remain unmarried.
2. Online applications run from 3:00 PM on 30 September to 3:00 PM on 29 October. Apply through Officer Entry Apply/Login, choose the exact degree stream and submit one application. Keep the confirmation and original qualification, DOB, identity and semester marksheets for SSB.
3. DOB window: 1 July 2000 to 30 June 2007 inclusive. Final-year candidates must produce proof of passing and all marksheets by 1 July 2027; the degree certificate must follow within 12 weeks of training commencement. Foreign engineering degrees are not eligible.
4. Selection uses engineering-stream academic shortlisting, two-stage SSB, medical assessment and merit based on SSB marks within the stream vacancies. Selection does not follow a separate written examination. The notice does not specify an application fee.
5. Pre-training fitness guidance includes 2.4 km in 10 minutes 30 seconds, 40 push-ups, six pull-ups, 30 sit-ups, squats, lunges and basic swimming. Check the full stream-equivalence list, qualification and medical rules in the attached notice.

Selection stages and assessment

• 1. Shortlisting
  Detail: Stream-wise cut-off on cumulative percentage of marks and a vacancy-to-call-up ratio; the Army reserves the right to shortlist without giving reasons
• 2. SSB date and centre
  Detail: Shortlisted candidates log in and pick an SSB date and centre, first come first serve
• 3. SSB Interview
  Detail: Two-stage procedure, up to five days, at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru or Jalandhar
• 4. Medical Examination
  Detail: For candidates recommended after Stage-2
• 5. Merit List
  Detail: Stream-wise, on SSB marks; ties go to the older candidate, then higher degree percentage
• 6. Joining Letter
  Detail: Issued in merit order up to the stream vacancies, for training at IMA Dehradun
