CSIR NEERI Recruitment 2026 – 13 Technical Officer and Technical Assistant Posts

Advertisement, posts and dates

Advertisement CSIR-NEERI/1/2026 covers twelve Technical Officers and one Technical Assistant. Online applications open on 16 September 2026 at 10:00 and close on 15 October at 17:00, also the deadline for taking the application printout. Age and qualifications are assessed on 15 October. Posting may be at Nagpur headquarters or a regional centre. Test dates are to be notified.

Eligibility and evidence

Choose the exact post code, subject and reservation category. The Technical Assistant science-communication experience must follow the qualifying B.Sc. Part-time, daily-wage and visiting/guest service is excluded. Officers require the specified discipline with at least 55%; TA requires at least 60%. If claiming an equivalent qualification, upload the formal equivalence order; for CGPA, provide the university conversion rule. Final results must be declared by the closing date.

Selection and written papers

The screening committee shortlists applicants. A discipline-specific qualifying trade test precedes the objective written examination. Paper I is qualifying mental ability; Papers II and III are assessed only after clearing it. Final merit uses Papers II and III. There is no negative marking in Paper I, while Papers II and III deduct one mark per wrong answer. The paper-wise question, marks and duration details appear below. The examination may use OMR or computers and is bilingual except the English section.

Application procedure

Open the institute recruitment section, register and complete the application for the selected code. Upload photograph and signature as JPEG files within 50 KB each and certificates as PDFs within 1 MB each. Non-exempt applicants pay ₹500 via SBI Collect and upload the receipt. Submit and preserve the printout by 17:00 on 15 October. Each code needs a separate application and payment. No hard copy is required at this stage; submitted forms cannot be edited or withdrawn.

Reservation, fee and salary

SC/ST/OBC age concessions apply only where permitted for the reserved vacancy. PwBD relaxation requires at least 40% disability and the prescribed evidence. Government/CSIR employee concessions require qualifying continuous regular service; project or temporary staff must not describe themselves as regular government employees. SC/ST/PwBD/women/ex-servicemen are exempt from the application fee. Quoted monthly amounts are approximate gross emoluments at the Nagpur rate, including specified allowances, not take-home pay; HRA/transport depend on posting and housing.
