Eligibility, application steps and essential conditions

  1. Advertisement R.II-21/2026-Sports dated 17 September covers 521 vacancies: Constable 339 (258 men, 81 women) and Head Constable 182 (150 men, 32 women). These temporary appointments are likely to become permanent and carry service liability anywhere in India or abroad.
  2. Apply online from 12 October to 11 November; corrections run 12–14 November. Upload clear photograph/signature, DOB, education, category and sports certificates for the chosen event. Only one application is permitted. Government employees need NOC at document scrutiny.
  3. Constable eligibility covers the notified National/School/Khelo India/Inter-University achievement routes; Head Constable requires the higher international/national/inter-university/junior-national standards. Only achievements between 30 September 2024 and 30 September 2026 count. The highest single eligible achievement determines sports marks.
  4. The notice contains conflicting DOB windows in separate paragraphs. Use its stated 18–23 age criterion as on 1 August 2026 and check any CRPF corrigendum before submission. Sports relaxation is five years for UR, eight for OBC and ten for SC/ST; other service concessions have separate conditions.
  5. Selection: identity and document scrutiny, physical standards, qualifying sports trials, sports-achievement merit and detailed/review medical examination. PwD candidates cannot apply. Standard height is 170 cm for men and 157 cm for women; category relaxations and chest rules are in the notice.
  6. Fee: ₹100 for UR/OBC/EWS men; women, SC/ST and ex-servicemen are exempt. Online payment only. Selected candidates execute a ₹1 lakh three-year service bond; sporting performance is monitored for at least two years. Candidates arrange travel and accommodation themselves.
