Admission overview
IIT Guwahati has opened its online BSc (Hons) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for the January 2027 cohort.
DATES AND COST
• Applications opened: 20 August 2026.
• Deadline: 31 October 2026.
• Classes begin: 4 January 2027.
• Application fee: ₹1,000; this is not the total degree cost. Consult the official brochure for programme fees.
SELECTION
The regular route includes an online basic-mathematics course and qualifier assessment. Ranking combines Class X marks, Class XII marks and the qualifier test. The portal also describes a direct route for applicants eligible for and registered in JEE Advanced.
HOW TO APPLY
Register with your name, email and phone, complete OTP validation, then fill the application. Upload Class X and XII records, photo identity proof and a recent photograph. Submit, pay through the official portal and keep the confirmation.

Eligibility
Class XII or equivalent with at least 60% aggregate. Candidates who appeared in Class XII in 2026 may also apply. The qualifier route ranks applicants using Class X, Class XII and qualifier-test performance. A separate direct route is specified for candidates eligible for and registered in JEE Advanced.
