Admission overview
CEED 2027 provides a qualifying score for applications to M.Des. and design Ph.D. programmes. Admission applications, tests and interviews are handled separately by the institutions.
DATES
• Regular registration: 1–31 October 2026.
• Late registration: 1–6 November 2026, closing 5 PM.
• Exam: 17 January 2027, 9 AM–12 noon.
• Result: 3 March 2027.
EXAMINATION
Candidates attempt both parts: computer-based design aptitude in Part A and drawing/design/writing tasks in Part B. Final weighting is 25% Part A and 75% Part B.
APPLICATION
Read the brochure, register online, upload a recent photograph, signature, degree/provisional or prescribed final-year certificate and applicable category/PwD documents. Pay the fee and retain confirmation.
Women/SC/ST/PwD pay ₹2,000; other applicants ₹4,000. Late fee ₹500; processing charges are extra. After qualifying, apply separately to eligible institutes.

Before you apply
Eligibility
Completed a degree/diploma/postgraduate programme of at least three years after 10+2, or appearing for its final examination by July 2027; alternatively the specified five-year Government Diploma in Art after Class X by July 2027. No age limit or attempt cap. Individual institutes impose separate admission criteria.
